“START AGAIN” (August 2025) EP
In October 2024, a few months after their debut album was released, The Fever Hold, a rock band based in Japan, started working on their next collection of songs. Under the direction of Osaka creative director Popelier, Velvetheads began taking footage of the process turning it into a short documentary series that was shown on the band’s YouTube channel from January until June 2025.
デビューアルバムのリリースから数か月後の2024年10月、日本を拠点とするロックバンド、ザ・フィーバー・ホールドは次の楽曲集の制作に着手しました。大阪のクリエイティブディレクター、ポペリエの指揮の下、ベルベットヘッズは制作過程の映像を撮影し、短編ドキュメンタリーシリーズとして制作しました。このドキュメンタリーシリーズは、2025年1月から6月までバンドのYouTubeチャンネルで公開されました。
The episodes followed the introduction of the new demos to guitarist Fuyuki by band leader and songwriter Jack Slander, the band coming to terms with vocalist Jenni’s absence, Jack’s wide eyed discovery of AI produced music and being blown away by it, and then the gradual discard, as the songs developed, of AI, until the final EP was released. Along the way, there was Fuyuki’s lack of interest to contend with, and then his triumphant creative return, Jenni’s continuing absence and Jack’s constant dithering and indecisiveness.
エピソードは、バンドリーダーでありソングライターでもあるジャック・スランダーがギタリストの冬樹に新しいデモを紹介する様子、ボーカルのジェニーの不在を受け入れるバンド、AIプロデュースの音楽に衝撃を受けたジャックの衝撃、そして曲が完成するにつれてAIを徐々に無視していく様子、そして最終EPがリリースされるまでの過程を描いている。その過程では、冬樹の無関心、そして彼の華々しい創作活動への復帰、ジェニーの不在、そしてジャックの優柔不断な態度といった問題が浮き彫りになった。

The result, however, was 3 great songs that were built on the band’s talent and skills with a very small contribution by AI.
しかし、その結果、AI のわずかな貢献はあるものの、バンドの才能とスキルを基に構築された 3 つの素晴らしい曲が生まれました。

This video for “Blue Sky Kids” contains footage from the documentary series “Fever Lines” edited together by Popelier/Velvetheads for Instagram. The lyrics invite those that were there to reminisce fondly about a generation who were the last to live a modern post war childhood without the domination of computers and social media, and the images are a celebration of talent, that is often overlooked because it doesn’t fit mainstream commerciality, especially now in this age of saturation by the irrelevant and unoriginal.
In other words, enjoy a damn good song!
「Blue Sky Kids」のこのビデオには、Popelier/VelvetheadsがInstagram向けに編集したドキュメンタリーシリーズ「Fever Lines」の映像が使用されています。歌詞は、コンピューターやソーシャルメディアに支配されることなく、戦後の現代的な子供時代を過ごした最後の世代を懐かしく回想するよう、その場にいた人々を誘います。映像は、特に現代のような無意味かつ独創性に欠ける作品が溢れる時代に、主流の商業主義にそぐわないために見過ごされがちな才能を称えるものです。

Our design department, Velvetheads, has been busy working on an MV for regular visitor Jack Slander’s new band, “The Fever Hold”. Velvetheads has been commissioned, not only to create and produce the video, but to also create the album cover, logo, graphics, etc.

“The Fever Hold” album release was a great success. As well as the fine collection of 13 songs, the music video for the 1st single “Silver Gods pt.1” was also given a premiere at the party.
